Conflict is an inevitable part of the workplace. When two or more people come together to share ideas and meet customer needs, their differing ideas and expectations can cause confrontation. That confrontation can be constructive—resulting in increased creativity, a wider variety of alternatives, and better results. Or the confrontation can be destructive—resulting in negative emotions, lowered trust and communication, and limited cooperation. This workshop explores the dynamics of conflict and introduces methods to resolve destructive conflict and foster constructive controversy.

  • Demonstrate greater awareness of what you bring to conflict and how to manage yourself in conflict situations
  • Utilize tools and strategies to manage conflict, including when and how to use five approaches to conflict, plus a four-step model to analyze situations and develop strategy
